By far, the iPhone is the most popular mobile device for both consumers and businesses. Based on preliminary data from the first quarter of 2013, iPhones are responsible for 48 percent of the traffic to business cloud-storage company Egnyte's servers. For comparison, iPads represent 30 percent of their traffic and Android phones and tablets together are just 22 percent. Given the iPhone's business-friendly features, these results are not surprising.
SECURITY :: Apple's iOS can be configured to be extremely secure. Its passcode feature enables 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard security that makes the iPhone essentially uncrackable. Because the apps that are available for download to the iOS are vetted by Apple's approval process, they are less likely to hide malicious code than apps on other platforms.
